This Homemade Peach Iced Tea is made with black tea, ripe peaches, lemon, sugar, and plenty of ice. It is simple, refreshing, and best served very cold.
Bring the water to a boil, then remove it from the heat. Add the black tea bags and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool slightly.
Peel and chop the peaches. Place them in a small saucepan with the sugar and 100 ml of the brewed tea or water. Cook over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes, until the peaches are soft.
Strain the peach mixture through a fine sieve, pressing gently to collect the syrup. Mix the peach syrup with the brewed tea and add lemon juice to taste.
Refrigerate the tea for at least 2 hours, or until well chilled. Serve over ice cubes with peach slices and lemon slices if desired. Keep the drink covered in the refrigerator and enjoy within 2 days.
This peach iced tea is easy to prepare ahead of time and has a fresh fruit flavor without being complicated. The key is to let it chill fully before serving.
