DIY Baking Soda Scented Tablets to Freshen Closets and Shoes

These homemade baking soda scented tablets are a simple way to freshen small spaces naturally. They are easy to prepare, budget-friendly, and useful for closets, shoes, and storage areas that need a cleaner smell.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 10 to 15 drops essential oil of choice
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 silicone mold

How to make them

Place the baking soda in a bowl and add the essential oil. Mix well so the fragrance spreads evenly through the powder.

Add the water little by little while stirring. The texture should become similar to damp sand and hold together lightly when pressed.

Pack the mixture firmly into a silicone mold. Leave it to air-dry for 24 to 48 hours, until the tablets harden completely.

Once dry, remove the tablets and place them in closets, near shoes, or inside small fabric bags for storage spaces. Replace them when the scent fades.

Conclusion

This DIY deodorizing idea is easy to repeat and does not require many ingredients. It works well when you want a simple homemade solution for keeping enclosed spaces fresher.
