Creamy Apple Banana Cinnamon Smoothie : Easy Breakfast Recipe

This apple banana cinnamon smoothie is creamy, gently spiced, and ready in minutes. The banana adds natural sweetness, the apple keeps the flavor fresh, and a little cinnamon brings everything together.

Ingredients

Makes 2 servings

  • 1 medium apple, about 180 g, cored and chopped
  • 1 medium ripe banana, about 120 g, peeled
  • 250 ml milk or an unsweetened plant-based alternative
  • 100 g plain yogurt
  • 15 g rolled oats, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus a little for serving
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional
  • 4 to 6 ice cubes, optional

How to Make It

  1. Wash, core, and roughly chop the apple. Peeling is optional; leave the skin on for a slightly more textured drink.
  2. Add the apple, banana, milk, yogurt, oats, cinnamon, and honey to a blender.
  3. Blend for 45 to 60 seconds, or until completely smooth. Add the ice and blend again if you prefer a colder, thicker smoothie.
  4. Taste and adjust the texture with a small splash of milk. Divide between two glasses and dust lightly with cinnamon.

Tips for the Best Texture

Use a well-ripened banana for sweetness and body. A crisp apple gives a fresher flavor, while a softer sweet variety creates a mellower drink. If your blender is less powerful, chop the apple into small pieces and add the liquid first.

Simple Variations

For a thicker smoothie, use a frozen banana or add another spoonful of yogurt. For a thinner drink, increase the milk by 30 to 50 ml. The oats are optional but give the smoothie a more substantial breakfast-style texture.

Serve Immediately

This smoothie is best enjoyed just after blending, when the texture is airy and the apple flavor is bright. If it stands for a few minutes, stir it before drinking.
